Welcome to the Oklahoma Higher Education Shared Services Marketplace

Von RoyalThe Shared Services Marketplace is designed as a clearinghouse for shared technology contracts, resources and services for Oklahoma’s higher education institutions. The goal is to promote collaboration and create cost efficiencies across our state’s higher education system.

As Oklahoma’s higher education chief information officer, I am tasked with championing collaborations among our state’s institutions and achieving cost savings for technology services within our higher education system. My partnership with the Council of Information Technology plays a vital role in this initiative. As our state’s higher education technology leaders, council members are in a position to provide leadership and cooperation in maximizing investments in technology services and resources.

I am excited to see the collaboration that is already occurring. Oklahoma State University and the University of Oklahoma have successfully implemented several initiatives, including federated services to enable the ability to access each other’s computing resources, the "Bedlam Battle" training program for cybersecurity and a common service catalog that provides a framework for identifying collaboration targets.

These initiatives set a new standard and establish a model for cooperation and collaboration. I ask you to join our efforts in seeking ways we can work together to expand information technology services for our state’s students, while identifying opportunities to realize cross-institutional cost savings. I hope the Shared Services Marketplace will be a catalyst in achieving these goals.

Best regards,

Vonley Royal
