Remediation Rates by Subject
The composite remediation rate of Oklahoma 2009 high school graduates was 40.8 percent. Most of the remediation was due to poor preparation or time away from the subject of math. The college remediation rate for math for the same group of graduates was 35.3 percent, making up 86.5 percent of all remediation on Oklahoma campuses. Remediation rates in English and reading were 19.6 percent and 6 percent, respectively.
