Preliminary Fall Enrollment
Freshmen are not the only driver of enrollment numbers, as adults returning to school and the retention of freshmen and sophomores also play a major role in enrollment.
Despite the decline in traditional incoming freshman students from high school for the 2008-09 school year, total enrollment was near historic highs as fall 2009 total enrollment in Oklahoma’s public higher education system was 187,676, a 5.8 percent increase from the previous fall.
