Preparing For College In High School

It's never too early to start planning for college. Review the links provided at the top and on the left to get information on high school courses to take, Oklahoma college and university admission standards, college costs, college credit opportunities for high school students and more.

Need information on preparing for college? Check with your counselor about preparing for college materials or visit the Publications section.

We also recommend that you check out the Financial Aid link above for information on scholarships and grants administered by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, as well as information on student loans and the Oklahoma College Savings Program. Also, keep in mind that some need-based scholarships, such as Oklahoma's Promise, require students to sign up as early as 8th, 9th or 10th grade. Other scholarships and grants may require you to complete the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Click on Financial Aid for more information.

To better select or narrow your choice of Oklahoma colleges and universities you would like to attend, click on the Colleges and Universities link above and tour campus Web sites.

Get out of the house this summer and head to a college campus!
