Oklahoma Campus Compact (OkCC)
Oklahoma Campus Compact supports the civic purpose of higher education that includes developing students as citizens. OkCC assists member institutions in their efforts to develop citizenship skills by promoting and advancing methodologies including service learning, volunteerism, community service and political engagement.
Oklahoma Student Government Association (OSGA)
The Oklahoma Student Government Association is a statewide organization committed to voicing the concerns and interests of the students in the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education to the governor, Oklahoma Legislature, the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and other decision-making bodies.
Student Advisory Board (SAB)
The Student Advisory Board communicates
to the State Regents the views and interests of all Oklahoma college and
university students on issues that relate to the constitutional and
statutory responsibilities of the State Regents. In representing students, the
SAB combines the opinions of students with sound
research to develop the best proposals and recommendations for the Oklahoma
State System of Higher Education.
Vocal Oklahomans in Civic Engagement (VOICE)
In 2002 the national Campus Compact organization awarded OkCC
a Raise Your Voice grant funded by the Pew Charitable Trusts. The Raise
Your Voice campaign was an effort to encourage college students to begin
conversations, address issues and create solutions for the challenges facing our
democracy. The campaign was a student-led initiative to encourage students to
take action — from volunteering to voting.
