Objectives and Purposes
The objectives and purposes of the SSHER Center shall be:
- To provide creative technical and consultative services, planning, and exemplary leadership in fostering safe, healthy, and environmentally sound workplaces within Oklahoma’s higher education system.
- To assist member institutions in the conduction of jobsite analyses for the purpose of identifying safety, health, and environmental hazards.
- To provide resource specific services and training programs designed to assist member institutions in the minimization or elimination of identified workplace hazards.
- To engender and promote safety, health, and environmental activities which can lead to lower worker compensation costs among member institutions.
