Ms. P.J. Gorden, CPA, MBA
Northeastern State University
In 1998, Ms. P.J. Gorden returned to collegiate life to pursue a graduate degree with the ultimate goal of teaching on the college level. Her 20-year career was rewarding but very demanding. Positions spanned from public accounting in the tax and accounting areas to financial reporting in the corporate arena. In December 2001, she graduated from Northeastern State University with a Master's of Business Administration degree.
Upon graduation, Gorden was called upon to teach adjunct on the new NSU campus in Broken Arrow. Currently, she is a full-time instructor of accounting at NSU.
Gorden's undergraduate degree is from the University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Science in accounting. She graduated with honors in 1978 and was active in Beta Alpha Psi and the Accounting Association.
A citizen of Broken Arrow since 1991, Gorden campaigned for the new NSU campus door-to-door. All of the campaigners worked hard to educate people on the value of affordable, quality higher education that the new campus would bring to the growing city of Broken Arrow.
Gorden has been married for 17 years. Her interests are her pets, four cats and a golden retriever puppy; bicycling; writing; and volunteer work.
