
Three assessments used during this study:
Pathwise Induction Program – focused upon the mentoring process and how the resident-year committee can best help the resident teacher. Participants attended two sessions with their mentor teacher.
Teacher Work Sample Methodology (TWSM) – used a teacher-made unit and a before and after test of students and asked the teacher to self-assess her/his teaching performance based upon teacher reflection and student input and work samples.
Resident Year Portfolio – extended the teaching portfolio based on work done in TWSM and Pathwise assessments.
