
First- and second-year teachers participated in a grant study designed to evaluate teacher preparation programs at Oklahoma's public universities. The program helped identify areas of competency, weakness, and skill in novice teachers to help institutions better prepare students for teaching roles.
Eligible participants in OTEP were first- or second-year teachers who had completed a competency-based teacher education program and received a teacher education degree no earlier than fall 2000.
