Carter Academic Service Entrepreneur (CASE) Grant for Campus-Community Collaboration Fall 2008 Oklahoma Grant Award Recipients
Sarah Smith, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, Nursing
The CASE grant will be used to purchase a blood pressure and pulse vital sign machine for the Ottawa County Community Clinic, which will increase the amount of patients seen and obtain reliable baseline information for health assessment for more residents of Ottawa County.
Cory Steward, Oklahoma State University, Marketing and Leadership
The CASE grant will be used to conduct a food drive and work with partners in the surrounding area to increase the amount of food and extend the length of time that food banks distribute food.
Collins Uzuegbu and Meagan Decher, Southwestern Oklahoma State University, Nursing
The CASE grant will be used to conduct a toy drive for the children at Weatherford Regional Hospital and to work with the community to provide age-appropriate toys and games that will facilitate therapy and recovery for the sick children at the hospital.
