The Student Data Report for 2005-06 is the 24th annual comprehensive publication of student data derived from the Oklahoma State Regents Unitized Data System (UDS), which has been in place since 1977. Each semester, approximately 75 data elements are gathered for each student (a person who enrolled, had a class/grade action, and paid fees) in Oklahoma higher education.

In 2005-06, there were 30 data reporting entitites, institutions, and branch campuses in The Oklahoma State System for Higher Education. Some of the private institutions did not participate in the UDS, thus grand totals including private institutions are not complete. There are 25 public higher education institutions, 20 branch campuses, and 5 learning centers in Oklahoma. Oklahoma has 12 private higher education instituions that are regionally accredited.

Enrollment in Oklahoma Public Colleges and Universities.  
For 2001-2002 was 220,768, in 2002-2003 was 228,249, in 2003-2004 was 234, 839, in 2004-05 was 238,245, and in 2005-06 was 235,730..

Total Salaries and Fringe Benefits 68.3%, Professional Services 1.3%, Travel 1.1%, Utilities 3.9%, Supplies and Other Operating Expenses 10.7%, Property Furniture & Equipment 3.9%, Library Books and Periodicals 1.8%, Scholarships and Other Assistance 7.6%, Transfers and Other Disbursements 1.5%.
