SWOSU receives USDOE grants Southwestern Oklahoma State University at Weatherford recently received confirmation of three grants and two cooperative agreements in the amount of $399,231. The majority of the funding came from a $367,565 grant from the U.S Department of Education for the continuing Upward Bound program at SWOSU. Principal investigator is LouAnn Largent. The grant supports an outreach program, as well as a residential summer program, that is designed to encourage first generation, economically disadvantaged high school students to meet the academic and social challenges of higher education.
