RUSO celebrates "Best of the Best"
Six senior regional universities of the Regional University System of Oklahoma celebrated Oklahoma’s Centennial with a “Best of the Best” dinner and celebration recently in Oklahoma City.
Southwestern Oklahoma State University, University of Central Oklahoma, Northeastern State University, Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University and East Central University worked together to present the event, which attracted over 500 guests from around the state of Oklahoma.
The event was held at the Cox Convention Center in downtown Oklahoma City. RUSO Chair Mark Stansberry of Edmond served as emcee. The evening featured a video presentation on the RUSO universities and performances by various musical groups from each of the campuses. A scholarship presentation was also made to each of the universities.
“Our universities are proud of more than 100 years of dedication to improving Oklahoma’s quality of life,” SWOSU President John Hays said. “We are also excited about the significant role we will play in shaping our state’s second century.”
