Television icons Tom Bosley (Howard Cunningham from “Happy Days”) and Michael Learned (Olivia Walton from “The Waltons”) were the featured guests for the “Lunch with the Stars” fundraising event Jan. 3 at Rose State College.
Sponsored by area businesses and individuals, the event raised thousands of dollars for student scholarships.
“This series provides a wonderful opportunity for us to have fun and support higher education,” said Roger Ford, chairman of the RSC Foundation.
Ford presented Bosley and Learned with the Foundation’s Rose Award. The stars said they were happy to help students. They talked about their television days and about starring in the touring production of “On Golden Pond.”
