Southeastern’s MBA Adds Seven New Online Areas of Emphasis

The John Massey School of Business at Southeastern Oklahoma State University has expanded its range of fully online Master of Business Administration (MBA) offerings with the addition of a general MBA as well as six new areas of emphasis.

In addition to the new online general MBA, the university now offers areas of emphasis in marketing, hospitality marketing, finance, human resources, strategic communications and aerospace logistics. The new options join the university’s other online MBA areas of emphasis in management, entrepreneurship, health information systems, safety, and Native American leadership.

“Managerial and professional occupations are key drivers for economic growth, and demand for MBAs in Oklahoma is at its highest level in the past decade,” said Southeastern president Sean Burrage. “Our online MBA, with its diverse areas of emphasis, is a response to this critical need, and it reflects our commitment to a high-quality and affordable education. For the first time, an MBA is truly accessible to many residents of this region and nationwide.”

Southeastern’s broad portfolio of specialized offerings addresses the state’s growing need for business leaders with advanced education.

Almost 350,000 master-degreed professionals will be needed across Oklahoma, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas by 2020, according to research from the Georgetown Center on Education and the Workforce and the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Southeastern’s MBA program is fully accredited by the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
