North Carolina Professor Speaks at SWOSU on Ways to Engage Students

Nationally known speaker Dr. Adam Persky recently spoke at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford.

The SWOSU College of Pharmacy recently hosted on the Weatherford campus nationally known speaker Dr. Adam Persky, a professor at the University of North Carolina’s Eshelman School of Pharmacy.

The presentation, titled “Experience is not Enough: Teaching with the Evidence to Improve Student Learning,” is applicable to areas of pharmacy and education in general.

Though Persky has a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical science, much of his research is focused on finding new and better ways to instruct students. Persky is a leader in the field of interactive learning, and he has experience teaching in a variety of fields. Persky has developed tools to engage students in innovative ways, and he shared those techniques during the presentation.
