Investiture Set for SWOSU President on Dec. 8

 

SWOSU Inauguration
The investiture ceremony for Southwestern Oklahoma State University President Randy Beutler will be held Dec. 8 at 3 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the Weatherford campus. Various other activities are also planned on the Weatherford and Sayre campuses of SWOSU.

An inaugural celebration for Southwestern Oklahoma State University President Randy Beutler will be held Dec. 7-8 on both the Weatherford and Sayre campus locations.

The investiture ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 8, at the Fine Arts Center on the Weatherford campus. A reception will follow. A fund-raising dinner will be held that evening at 6:30 p.m. The event will benefit a SWOSU Museum & Archive Center in downtown Weatherford.

A special dinner is also planned for Tuesday, Dec. 7, in Sayre. The 6 p.m. dinner will be held in the Sayre Public Schools Cafeteria. Four past deans and presidents of Sayre Junior College and SWOSU-Sayre will be honored for their long-time service.

Also taking place Dec. 7 will be a late-night inauguration pancake breakfast for SWOSU students. The 10-12 midnight event will take place in the Memorial Student Center on the Weatherford campus.

Brian Adler, chair of the SWOSU Inaugural Committee, said funding for all activities is coming from private donations. Corporate sponsors are:

Beutler is SWOSU’s 17th president. SWOSU was founded in 1901 and has campus locations in Weatherford and Sayre.
