Associates and friends of OU's Western History Collections
enjoy dinner recently at Monnet Hall during an evening marking the 75th
anniversary of the collections. In addition to dinner, guests heard from
Patricia Limerick, chairperson of the Center of the American West. One
of the most important collections of its kind, the Western History Collections
has document the history of Oklahoma, the American Southwest, the westward
expansion of the American frontier, and the history of American Indians
in Oklahoma and the American West for three-quarters of a century. The
collections, housed on the third floor of Monnet Hall, is open to the
public.
