NSU hosts Puppeteers of America National Festival
Touted as a week of total immersion into the art of puppetry, the 2003 Puppeteers of America National Festival brought puppet masters, enthusiasts and characters of all descriptions to the Northeastern State University campus June 29 through July 5.
The festival included performances, workshops and a rare opportunity to view a collection of the most historic and unique puppets ever assembled at a single venue. The Puppeteers of America is a national nonprofit organization founded in 1937, which provides information, encourages performances, and builds a community of people who love puppet theatre.
