A replica of the Blue Room in the State Capitol and a desk and other items donated by former Gov. George Nigh are featured in the newly remodeled James O. Danley Center for Administration and Instruction at East Central University in Ada. Wanita Danley Plunk (second from left) and her children Phyllis Kunze of Ada and Forrest Danley of Edmond (center) visit the Blue Room after the June 16 dedication of the building, once ECU's library. They are shown with State Rep. Bob Plunk (far left) and ECU President Bill Cole at the desk given to the university by Nigh, an ECU graduate. The desk was in the State Capitol's Blue Room when Nigh was governor between 1979 and 1987. The white hat and bronze eagle on the desk can be seen in the portrait of Nigh made in the Capitol's Blue Room. James Danley was a former faculty member and ECU's first dean of graduate studies.
