Roselynn Simpson (center) of Wetumka holds her plaque after being named the winner of the $750 George Nigh Award at a luncheon April 19 as East Central University’s top graduating senior. She is shown with former Gov. George Nigh (left), finalists Phoebe Barron of Ardmore and Angela Marshall of McAlester and ECU President John Hargrave. Each finalist was allowed to ask Nigh a question before the award was announced. Simpson will begin medical school next fall at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.

Clean and Green

Clean, Green and Ready to Transit

T. Boone Pickens and Gov. Mary Fallin visit in front of an OSU community transit bus that displays a new logo wrap following its unveiling during the dedication ceremony of the OSU Clean Energy fueling station Thursday. The station, which opened in January, serves as a fueling and housing station for OSU transit buses and is open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The station is located on the corner of Lakeview and Western.
