Former SWOSU President John Hays (right) was inducted into Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame during recent graduation activities on the Weatherford campus. SWOSU President Randy Beutler presents Hays with a plaque. Hays was guest speaker at the SWOSU ceremony.

Honoring Service Before Self

The Oklahoma Military Academy Killed in Action Memorial was unveiled recently at the Rogers State University campus in Claremore. The monument, honoring the cadets of the former Oklahoma Military Academy who lost their lives during military service, is a black granite pyramid etched with the names of OMA cadets who died in service abroad.

Botanical Boot

OSU's Botanical Boot

Oklahoma State University is dressing up campus with a large cowboy boot topiary at the southwest corner of Theta Pond near the intersection of University and Monroe streets. The unique topiary is more than seven feet tall and is a combination of six unique plants that create the textures and designs of a boot and spur.
