The University of Central Oklahoma will continue its UCO@125 Distinguished Speakers Series with a keynote from singer-songwriter and humanitarian John Legend beginning at 2 p.m. April 7 in Nigh University Center Constitution Hall on Central’s campus. The nine-time Grammy Award-winning artist and University of Pennsylvania alumnus was recently recognized alongside rapper Common with an Oscar for Best Original Song at the 2015 Academy Awards for “Glory.” The single served as the theme song for the 2014 film “Selma,” which portrays the 1965 Selma to Montgomery voting rights marches.
