Oklahoma Artists: Pioneers to Present

Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC), in association with the Melton Art Reference Library, will present the exhibit “Oklahoma Artists: Pioneers to Present” on display in The Gallery at OCCC, Oct. 5 through Nov. 9.

Works will range from early Native American Ledger Drawings and tribal artists to well-known and lesser-known artists, some of which include Brunel Faris, Richard Goetz, Alexandre Hogue, Mike Larsen, Brent Learned, N. Scott Momaday, Stephen Mopope, Bert Seabourn, Nan Sheets, Nellie and Leona Shepherd, and Betty Price.

An opening reception will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 5. The Gallery is located in the Visual and Performing Arts Center at OCCC, 7777 S. May Ave. For information call 405-682-7579 or visit www.occc.edu/cas.

Campus E-Clips is published by the Communicators Council, an advisory group to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education comprised of Oklahoma higher education public information officers.
