EVENT: SWOSU features Shakespeare in the Park, Charles
Dickens Classic Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park will bring its production of A Christmas Carol to western Oklahoma just in time for the holiday season. The Charles Dickens classic holiday tale will be presented at SWOSU on Tuesday, December 3, at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the Weatherford campus. Admission is free. The Oklahoma Arts Council makes the performance possible. This is the 5th straight year that Oklahoma Shakespeare in the Park has performed the one hour long chamber version of A Christmas Carol. Familiar characters such as Ebenezer Scrooge and Tiny Tim will be part of the 10-actor production, which is an original adaptation by Dr. Robert E. McGill and directed by Kathryn McGill. OSP is a non-profit organization that is supported by the OAC, The Kirkpatrick Family Fund, Target Stores, Phillips Petroleum, Edmond Women's Club and the City of Edmond Parks and Recreation Department.
