Beginning in October and ending in April, performance groups from all
over the world will be at Oklahoma City Community College for the 2002-03
Cultural Awareness Series.
The Moscow Chamber Orchestra kicks off the series at 7 p.m. on Oct. 15
with an evening of classical music. American pianist Constantine Orbelian
will conduct the internationally renowned Moscow Chamber Orchestra. The
Orchestra, which was created in 1956, was recently honored in Russia in
recognition of its outstanding international artistic stature. For the
last seven years, the Moscow Chamber Orchestra has maintained an intensive
touring schedule throughout Europe, the Americas and Russia.

Oct. 22 - Jack Eddleman ~ 7 p.m.
Nov. 5 - The Oklahoma City Symphonic Band featuring W. Francis McBeth
~ 7:30 p.m.
Dec. 3 - The Newstead Trio ~ 7 p.m.
Jan. 28 - The Little Angels from Korea ~ 7 p.m.
Feb. 11 - Ruth Serrao ~ 7 p.m.
March 11 - Trio Simbirsk ~ 7 p.m.
April 15 - Brad Richter ~ 7 p.m.
All performances are in the Oklahoma City Community College Theater,
7777 S. May Ave. Season tickets to all eight events in the 2002 - 2003
series are available at a significant discount. General admission season
tickets cost $45, which is a 34 percent discount from the single ticket
prices. Student and senior citizen season tickets cost $30, a 42 percent
discount. Individual tickets for the Moscow Chamber Orchestra and the
Little Angels from Korea are $10 for general admission and $8 for
students and senior citizens. All other individual tickets are $8 for
general admission and $6 for students and senior citizens.
Support for these performances has been provided by the Oklahoma Arts
Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Heartland Arts Fund.
