EVENT: OCCC kicks off Cultural Arts Series

OCCC's 2007-2008 Cultural Arts Series kicked off this month with a performance by Edgar Cruz on Sept. 18. The rest of the season line-up includes Tres Vidas, a musical and dramatic portrayal of three Latin American women. The group performs Oct. 23.
A live radio show complete with sound effects will be performed Nov. 6 when Salvage Vanguard Theater takes the stage. On Dec. 4, an 18-member Russian choral ensemble, the Moscow Male Jewish Capella will perform.
Next year, the woodwind trio Allegresse performs Jan. 29. Hot Club of San Francisco visits the school Feb. 26, and Renaissance music masters the Renaissonics, take the stage March 11. The Cultural Arts Series concludes with classical pianist Gabriela Montero on April 8. Tickets can be purchased by calling the CAS ticket office at 682-7579 or by going online at www.occc.edu/cas.
