EVENT: Global Oklahoma festival
Rose State College is seeking multicultural entertainers and exhibitors for the 17th annual Global Oklahoma-a festival of cultures, Saturday, Oct. 8 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Organizers are especially interested in those representing the history of Scandinavia. Multicultural entertainers, artists and exhibitors representing more than 20 countries and cultures are expected to participate in the festival. The Rose State campus will be transformed into a global village, with live entertainment, school displays, educational exhibits, youth art contests, a children’s tent, food court and multicultural arts and crafts. “The festival is a wonderful time to celebrate Oklahoma's rich and diverse culture and share traditions of the past,” said Lisa Price, festival director. For more information, call (405) 736-0313. Visit the Web site at www.rose.edu/commfriend/globok/. |
