EVENT: Global Oklahoma at Rose State College
Rose State College is planning for the 18th annual Global Oklahoma-a festival of cultures, Saturday, Oct. 7 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on the Rose State College campus. This year, Canada will be featured. Global Oklahoma is an annual educational event that draws thousands of visitors. Through looking, listening and participating, young and old alike have the opportunity to gain knowledge of the world today, as well as traditions of the past. Multicultural entertainers, artists and exhibitors representing more than 20 countries and cultures are expected to participate in the festival. The Rose State campus will be transformed into a global village, with live entertainment, school displays, educational exhibits, youth art contests, a children’s tent, food court and multicultural arts and crafts. Volunteers are needed to help make this event possible. For more information, contact Festival Director Lisa Price at (405) 736-0313 or lprice@rose.edu.
