EVENT: Photography exhibit featuring Oklahoma towns A new exhibit by the Tulsa Photography Collective is now open in the Pictures Gallery in Oklahoma State University Tulsa’s Conference Center at 700 North Greenwood Ave. The exhibit, titled “Oklahoma Towns are Never Dull,” was displayed in the State Capitol in Oklahoma City from December 2004 to February 2005. Since 1987, members of the Tulsa Photography Collective have set out once a year to spend two days documenting downtown buildings, interesting architectural features, landmarks and citizens of Oklahoma towns. The resulting photographs would be displayed at the Collective’s Pictures Gallery and then in the town documented. “Oklahoma Towns are Never Dull” compiles the best photos of each collection. Sponsored by the Oklahoma Arts Council, the exhibit will be displayed at OSU-Tulsa until August 27. For more information, call 918-594-8303. |
