EVENT: RCC hosts Kids College Students and parents who are looking for fun summer activities shouldn’t look any further than Redlands Community College. Redlands will host its annual Kids College for children ages 4 and up. Kids College combines fun, academic exploration and investigation into the realms of science, math, cultural awareness, music, movement and art. Session I runs from June 23 through 27 and Session II runs from July 21 through 25. Several new classes will be offered this year. All classes will be taught in Redlands classrooms unless noted otherwise. The cost per class ranges from $20 to $45. Kids College classes offered this year include: You-Nique; Beginning Drawing; Basic Drawing; Bubbles of Fun; Drawing Cartoons; Beginning Watercolors; Patriotic Crafts; A Cooking Story; Wild & Crazy Art; Edible Art; Scrapbooking; Crafting Around; Memory Makers; Summer Stories and Snacks; Girls Just to Have Fun; Cooking with Kids; It’s a Girl Thing; Strings and Rings and Things; Monsters and Buggles; Lifetime Sports; Rah, Rah, Rah; Fun and Games; Totally Gross Chemistry; Primary Science; Math-A-Gami; Chess Masters I & II; Fun with French; Miss Manners; Babysitting Bootcamp; and Masters of Disaster. Classes are divided into age groups to better facilitate learning. Class size will be limited, so early registration is encouraged. Participants are also encouraged to register early to avoid class cancellation because of lack of enrollment. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis and enrollments by May 31 receive a 10 percent discount. Kids College t-shirts will be given to each student enrolled.
