EVENT: Bruce Hornsby at RSC
The Rose State Live! series presents Bruce Hornsby in a solo concert on April 3 at 8 p.m. The legendary pianist and songwriter known for “The Way it is” and “The End of the Innocence” will bring to the Rose State College Performing Arts Theatre a show not soon forgotten. Hornsby is a three-time Grammy winner whose 10 albums have sold more than 11 million copies worldwide. He struck gold and triple platinum with his debut album, The Way It Is, recorded with his band, the Range. His debut generated three Top 20 hits, including its number one title track and earned Bruce Hornsby & the Range the Best New Artist Grammy for 1986. Hornsby’s latest Grammy nominations were in 2004 for “Song F” from his album Halcyon Days and in 2006 for “Song H” from his box set Intersections. Known around the music industry as a collaborator, Hornsby has created a musical life that has expanded far and wide to include a broad stylistic range of activity. He has played on more than 100 records and has performed with such notables as Bob Dylan, Bonnie Raitt, Bela Fleck, Ricky Skaggs and the Grateful Dead.
