EVENT: OCCC-Cruz/Calderon Primeau Concert DATE: Jan. 26 What better way to warm up on a cold January night than with the Latin sounds of guitarist Edgar Cruz alongside the dance talent of Shannon Calderon Primeau? Order your tickets now as the two will present an extraordinary evening of guitar and Latin dance on stage at OCCC, Tuesday, Jan. 26 as part of the college’s Cultural Arts Series. Latin music lovers are sure to enjoy the performance beginning at 7 p.m. in the Bruce Owen Theater on the OCCC campus. Named Oklahoma’s Top Performing Artist and Acoustic Guitarist for over ten years by the Oklahoma Gazette, Edgar Cruz thrills audiences everywhere with his precision, speed and command of the instrument. With Shannon Calderon Primeau’s critical dance acclaim, this collaboration has become known as one of Oklahoma’s favorite performances, not to be missed. Performing over 200 live shows annually, Cruz collaborates with other industry luminaries, orchestras and flamenco dance troupes, and is known for delivering an array of genres, from Latin to classical, and rock to jazz. Shannon was honored as one of Oklahoma's official Artists in Residence and is an instructor with the National Endowment for the Arts Creative Communities program.
