Dr. Stephen Weber, associate professor of music at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, recently received an American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Plus Award for public performances of his original compositions. The award is Weber’s 12th consecutive award from the nationally-recognized performance rights organization. ASCAP keeps records of public performances of composers who have registered original works with them and, in Weber’s case, awards them each year accordingly.
