East Central University introduced its new tiger and academic logos recently during an unveiling ceremony for students, faculty, alumni and the community. ECU's official tiger "spirit" logo will be used mainly for athletic teams, student activities and events. The second new logo, featuring the letters ECU and a single stripe representing the university's tiger heritage, will be for academic use in publications and other materials.Jacob Snovel, audio visuals assistant in ECU's Linscheid Library, designed the tiger for the spirit logo.
