A 16-foot-tall replica of the Leaning Tower of Pisa was erected near the Clock Tower on the University of Central Oklahoma campus as part of the "Italian Country Fair" celebration last month. The event kicked off the recently established UCO PASSPORT program, which was designed with the goal of inspiring unity and understanding in the global community, while providing entertaining and educational events for UCO students and the community. The UCO PASSPORT program selects a country to celebrate during the fall semester, with Italy chosen for the inaugural semester. UCO student organizations and members of the community were there to provide entertainment, featuring visual arts and performance artists staffing activity booths and performing on an outdoor stage. UCO art students painted a large mural throughout the three-day event, which is now on display in the Nigh University Center.
