Joe Anna Hibler (right) of Weatherford was recently installed as a regent on the Board of Regents of Oklahoma Colleges by Oklahoma Supreme Court Justice Yvonne Kauger (left). Assisting in the ceremony held in Edmond was SWOSU President John Hays. Hibler, who was president at SWOSU from 1990-2001, is the first former president to serve as a regent on the BOROC. Both Hibler and Kauger are members of the SWOSU Distinguished Alumni Hall of Fame. Hibler, along with the other BOROC regents, governs the affairs of SWOSU, East Central University, Northeastern State University, Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University and the University of Central Oklahoma.
