WWII veterans honored at a Memorial Day ceremony at OPSU include from left, Dewey Coldiron of Guymon, Norman C. Wilmeth of Guymon, Al Chill of Guymon, Charles Cullum of Goodwell, and Roy Ehly of Guymon.
Memorial Day 2007 was a great day for those attending the ceremonies on the OPSU campus. Of the nearly 100 people in attendance, many were area dignitaries, and several of them are veterans of military service, which added to the significance of the day – an honored remembrance of those who sacrificed to make this country what it is today.
Perhaps the highlight of the ceremony at OPSU was the first general public viewing of “Sacrifice at Home and Abroad,” a mural painted by OPSU instructor Brent Shoulders and members of one of his classes.
