Rose State College Lab Assistant Steve Lynch gives a Cleveland Bailey Elementary student a ride on the department’s hover craft. RSC physics and engineering students recently built the hover craft, which consists of a four-foot plywood disk propelled by a leaf blower, to illustrate Newton’s law of motion, force and action/reaction. Following the hover craft demonstration, RSC students used soda cans, balls and water to teach the youngsters about the properties of matter.
