Art student Chris Castor of Woodward, right, created this likeness of his friend, Michael McCracken, left, which won one of eight Judge’s Choice Awards in the college division of the annual Montmartre Sidewalk Chalk Art Contest held recently at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha. Both are students at USAO. Assisting Castor was Lauren Miller of Oklahoma City. Nearly 300 sidewalk chalk drawings were completed by more than 740 artists during the four-hour event. Fifteen different works of art earned cash prizes totaling $1,600. Best of Show went to four students from Lawton High School.
