"The Sacrifice of Isaac,” a sculpture by leading Israeli artist Menashe Kadishman, was recently presented to the University of Oklahoma's Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art by Dr. and Mrs. Simon Levit and family of Tulsa. The sculpture has traveled the globe as an ambassador of peace but will now have a permanent home on the Norman campus. The 15-foot-high work depicts a ram towering over a child, an allusion to the Biblical tale of Abraham’s offer to sacrifice his only son to God.
