The Columbus Specialty Folkloric Dancers from Columbus Enterprise Elementary School in Oklahoma City recently performed for Southwestern Oklahoma State University Department of Education student teachers on the Weatherford campus. The dancers perform a variety of authentic Hispanic folk dances as well as contemporary Latin-themed dances. They were on the SWOSU campus as part of Student Teacher Return Day activities, and their trip was made possible by a grant, “Celebrating Diversity in the Classrooms,” from the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.
