Dr. Minks Stepping Down as Southeastern PresidentSoutheastern president Dr. Larry Minks.

Dr. Larry Minks announced on April 1 that he is stepping down as president of Southeastern Oklahoma State University. President Minks has served in this position since Jan. 21, 2010, when he became the 19th president of Southeastern Oklahoma State University.

Downtown College Consortium Set to Close

After 18 years of serving students and businesses in downtown Oklahoma City, the Downtown College Consortium will close its doors effective July 31.

Oklahoma State University has named Dr. Gary Sandefur as provost and senior vice president of academic affairs. He comes from the University of Wisconsin where he has served as dean of letters and science and is currently professor of sociology.

NSU Breaks Ground on New Student Housing Project

Northeastern State University is happy to announce the new student housing project has begun. There was a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, May 2 at 710 N. Lewis Ave., just east of Wyly Hall on the NSU-Tahlequah campus.

The Oklahoma Osteopathic Association presented Dr. Kayse M. Shrum, president of the Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, with the Outstanding and Distinguished Service Award at its 114th Annual Convention, which was held April 24-27 at the Embassy Suites Norman Hotel & Conference Center in Norman, Okla.

State Regents Unveil Redesigned College Planning Website

The Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education recently launched the updated OKcollegestart.org, Oklahoma’s student information portal that provides students, parents, high school counselors and adult learners with comprehensive college planning and preparation information.
