OU becomes first public university of Chicago Climate Exchange University of Oklahoma President David L. Boren recently announced that OU, one of the United States’ leading research and teaching institutions, will become the first public academic member of the Chicago Climate Exchange (CCX®), a multi-sector and multi-national market for reducing and trading greenhouse gas emissions. OU has made a commitment to reduce its own emissions of greenhouse gases by 4 percent below the average of its 1998-2001 baseline by 2006, the last year of the pilot program. Read more. RSU launches equestrian center, Bit By Bit fundraising campaign ![]() Rogers State University has announced it will begin a $2 million fundraising campaign to enhance its equestrian facilities, which serve not only its students but also the surrounding community through a unique equine therapy program for disabled children. The Bit By Bit program promotes physical and mental health through horseback riding for children and adults with disabilities. Read more.
Oklahoma State University System CEO and President David J. Schmidly wants to hear what Oklahomans have to say about the university's strategic plan. The OSU President told the OSU/A&M Board of Regents recently that he will host a series of town hall meetings to discuss and share a strategic plan that has been developed within the OSU System during the last several months.
