September 17, 2007 :: State Regents Name New Associate Vice Chancellor for Administration
At the recommendation of Chancellor Glen D. Johnson, Dr. Jeff Hale was recently selected as associate vice chancellor for administration for the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, and the State Regents approved his appointment at its Sept. 13 meeting.
As the associate vice chancellor for administration, Hale’s responsibilities include supervising the operation of the chancellor’s office, business services and other administrative functions of the agency. He will also serve as liaison to the Council of Presidents and other advisory councils.
“Dr. Hale’s years of experience in higher education will be a great benefit to the continued success of our agency,” Johnson said. “With his leadership in this key role, I believe that the administrative direction of the agency will be enhanced as we continue to be attentive to the needs of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education.”
Most recently, Hale served as vice president of enrollment management and marketing and intercollegiate athletics at Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant. He began his career in education as a public school teacher in 1984 and has held a variety of positions in higher education since 1991.
Hale holds bachelor’s, master’s and doctorate degrees from the University of Oklahoma.
“I'm grateful to Chancellor Johnson, Chairman Burgess and all the State Regents for the opportunity to join this organization,” Hale said. “I truly look forward to being part of a team that is determined to continue accomplishing great things for Oklahoma higher education.”
