What: Second meeting of Gov. Henry’s Campus Life and Safety and Security (CLASS) Task Force to study safety at Oklahoma’s college and CareerTech campuses

When: 9 - 11 a.m., Thursday, August 30, 2007

Where: Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education
655 Research Parkway, Suite 200, Oklahoma City

Who: Fifteen officials from higher education, career technology education, public safety and health services

Why: To review progress reports from the task force’s five subcommittees: Notification, Response, Counseling, Laws and Policies, and Funding.

Background: Gov. Brad Henry created CLASS by an Executive Order in April 2007 following the Virginia Tech shootings. The task force will report its findings in January 2008 to the governor and legislative leadership.
