General Conference Committee Appointments Made by the House (February 14, 2002)
In an early move by the House and Senate, appointments to the General Conference Committee on Appropriations (GCCA) were made this week. The GCCA is responsible for reconciling all funding requested with tax revenues that are available for the 2003 fiscal year. A total of 83 House members will serve on the GCCA, with Senate appointments expected within the next couple of weeks. The House GCCA Subcommittee on Education is as follows:
