Creating the Oklahoma Police Corps Program to provide educational opportunities for citizens to obtain a baccalaureate degree or pursue graduate study on a competitive basis if the student demonstrates an interest in law enforcement, and to provide law enforcement training, with a stipend, for any citizen with a baccalaureate degree who will commit to a minimum of four years of commissioned service with a law enforcement agency in this state; creating the Police Corps Advisory Council, one member of which is to be a university or college faculty member; creating the Police Corps Selection Committee, one member of which is to be the dean of students of East Central University; requiring that an applicant to the Police Corps Program be a student enrolled at or hold a baccalaureate degree from a college or university recognized and accepted by the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and whose hours are eligible for transfer between such recognized institutions.
