Tulsa will host the second annual Governor’s Global Education Conference on April 4, 2008, at Langston University - Tulsa.
The first Global Education Conference hosted more than 200 K-16 education stakeholders, business partners and legislative constituents at the University of Central Oklahoma on Feb. 14, 2007. A two-day follow-up workshop was held at Rose State College on Nov. 2-3, 2007, with opening remarks from Oklahoma State Rep. Shane Jett. More than 150 higher education and K-12 teachers and administrators attended the workshops.
The Radisson Tulsa Airport Hotel is the suggested hotel for the conference. Located just inside the main entrance of Tulsa International Airport and minutes away from the conference location, this hotel offers an inviting atmosphere and top-notch services. A rate of $65 per night (single or double) is available for GEC participants only. There is no pre-arranged transportation to either the airport or the Langston University - Tulsa campus, although the hotel will gladly help arrange for a cab.
