GEAR UP Incentive Grants Help Raise College Aspirations, Oklahoma's Promise Enrollment in Oklahoma City Metro
January 30, 2008 -- Oklahoma GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) has awarded three college access incentive subgrants totaling $49,996 to Oklahoma City area community- and faith-based organizations to help students and families prepare for college.

October 11, 2007 -- Oklahoma GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs) has awarded subgrants totaling nearly $600,000 to 23 school districts and sites to initiate successful education strategies that improve college access and preparation at local levels.

October 11, 2007 -- Lawton Public Schools is strengthening several successful education projects designed to improve college access and preparation in its middle schools, thanks to subgrants totaling $100,000 from Oklahoma GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs).

GEAR UP to Award $100,000 Subgrant to Lawton Public Schools
October 8, 2007 -- News conference with photo, video and news opportunity as higher education officials announce the award of a $100,000 GEAR UP subgrant to Lawton Public Schools to help strengthen college access opportunities in Lawton. Specifically, Central, MacArthur and Tomlinson middle schools and Eisenhower Junior High School will each receive $25,000.
